Word of Bot is a Brisbane-based business. This policy explains what information we collect, why, and what we do with it. If anything here is unclear, email hello@wordofbot.com.au.
What we collect
When you request a free AI check or become a customer, we collect the details you give us: your name, business name, trade, suburb, mobile, email and website. For customers, we also collect the business details that go into your Business Passport, such as services, price ranges, service areas, hours, licence and insurance details.
If an AI assistant sends a quote request to your business through Word of Bot, we receive and store the details in that request, such as the customer's name, contact details, suburb and job description, so we can pass it to you.

What we publish
Your Business Passport is public on purpose, so AI assistants can find and recommend you. We only publish it after you've checked and approved it, and you can ask us to change or remove it at any time. We never publish your personal mobile or email unless you ask us to.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We use a small number of service providers to run Word of Bot, including website hosting and form handling (Netlify), our database (Supabase, hosted in Sydney) and payments (Stripe). Some of these providers may store data outside Australia. Quote requests are shared with the business they're addressed to.
Keeping it safe
We use reputable providers, restrict access to your information, and only keep it as long as we need it to provide our services or meet legal obligations.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or stop hearing from us, at any time by emailing hello@wordofbot.com.au.
